Lucente, the second wine of Luce della Vite, presents an intense purple-red color in the glass. The 2017 Lucente is a Sangiovese and Merlot blend, with a fragrant, rich bouquet of red fruit accented by notes of eucalyptus, mint, rosemary and sage. The palate is well-rounded and velvety with a very fine and silky tannin texture, nicely integrated and balanced with the alcohol component. Subtle hints of almond linger in the background. A wine with a very elegant and balanced character. Enjoy with braised pork, wild game, hearty stews, and aged cheeses.
